Name of the States: J&K (Jammu & Kashmir Region), Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Goa, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Sikkim,West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, A&N Island, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Jharkhand, MP, UP, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Pondichhery, Orissa, Chhatisgarh, Uttarakhand.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 years (Cut off date for age will be 1st August every year)

Educational Qualifications Would Be:
Matriculation or 10th class pass.

Physical Standards:

For Males	170 Cms	80-85 Cms	For males and females: proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards

Relaxation :
There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC, Ex Servicemen and other categories of persons in accordance with the Government order on the subject as follows : - - - Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhs, Dogras, Marathas and candidates to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K

Schedule Cast and Other Backward Cast
For Males 165 Cms 80-85 Cms
For males and females: proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards
For Females 155 Cms - -do-

Scheduled Tribes

Powers of relaxation:
The power to relax the eligibility criteria as mentioned in above will rest with the Directors General of Central Police Forces.

MEDICAL STANDARDS:

Eye Sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade pay Rs.2000/-

Fee:
Postal order or Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- in favour of Concerned IG/DIG/Commandant payable at bank of concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, as mentioned against each with Code No. However, no postal order or Demand Draft is required to be sent by SC/ST candidates and Ex-servicemen.

Application in the prescribed format either downloaded from BSF website or type written on one side only in foolscap plain paper with passport size photographs affixing on application duly attested by a Gazette officer with seal be sent to concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, onor before 30 days after
publication of this advertisement in Employment News through post along with necessary documents mentioned in  the  notification.

Selection Process: 
Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Trade Test And Written Test
